Unfortunately I don't have a picture of it! I had just dropped hubby off to pick up his truck from the shop and what to my wandering eyes did appear but a bird that I had never seen before.
After much searching on the internet, I finally found it! I can't believe it. I have a new bird to add to my life list. I'm such a bird nerd.
Isn't the song just beautiful?
Ahem . . . I celebrated my birthday a few days early and guess what I asked for? More bird seed! Guess what I got? A watch.
And bird seed!

Looks like a meadowlark. I so miss their song. Happy birthday. Now you can tell your hubby its time to get some birdseed:)
:)))))
Well that's lovely:)
And happy belated birthday...glad you received your wish....and a bonus:))
Definitely a meadowlark---gorgeous colors. Growing up, as a boy, the Texas fields were loaded with them.
Happy Birthday, Cathy -- and I asked for the same thing for Christmas. My family thought I was nuts! :)
Have a lovely birthday and what a great bird find.
LOL, a bird nerd? Now that is a new one. Big Happy Birthday to you. Been under the weather but I'm back now. :)

Thank you for the video. I think this bird was singing for you on your birthday :)
Eastern Meadowlarks have one beautiful song. Last summer I finally got a photo of one with my granddaughter at the Etowah Indian Mounts near my home. Their beauty equal their singing ability.
Happy belated Birthday and Happy Birding!!!
Hugs!!!
We have one in the field by our home. I rarely see it but a birder friend with better eyesight pointed it out to me.
You are right - beautiful.
