Pickle Ecstasy

Today was the most gorgeous day we've had in weeks - 80 degrees and almost no humidity.  Ranger, Maverick, and I spent hours outdoors curled up on a blanket under the shade tree.

The boys wanted to have a picnic, so Maverick brought out whole dill pickles and a gallon of milk.  Ranger ate cereal and read a book.

Enjoy the pictures!

The lost art of simplicity on a summer day! I love it - just being disconnected--no televison, cell phones or video games. Sure brings back a lot of memories when the world was a much better place. Remember running away from home -- all the way to grandmothers and sneaking a biscuit or maybe even one of grandaddy's Little Debbie oatmeal pies or playing "pig pen" with Andrea on the bank.

Hope the jar of pickles were some of yours from last summer! Give the boys a kiss!

ha ha I definitely remember playing pig pen on the bank. Do you remember watermelon rind teeth under the Catalpa tree?
