Busy as a . . . Christmas Elf

I've had so much fun this weekend making lots of goodies.

Brown sugar body scrub

Peppermint body scrub

Just a few of the many cookies

Gingerbread men

Orange slice cake - Joe's favorite!

Peanut butter fudge

Naked gingerbread man

Lots of body scrub

Maverick couldn't want to see the snow

Ranger didn't last long outside, his glasses got too dark and his cheeks too cold!

Finally wore themselves out.  I hope they go to sleep this easily on Christmas Eve!!

We got 5 inches of the white stuff, so they tell us to stay home.It was 2 when I got up so after blowing out my drive I started making cookies. After the 1st came out I felt they were missing something. I looked at my recipe and saw I needed salt, baking powder and soda, which I had left out.LOL Put it in and it was mostly a flavor difference. I will send the 1st few batches with a teacher friend, her class of high schoolers will eat anything.Headed to make 3 batches of fudge next.Yours all look really nice. I love the piped frosting. I did master a gingerbread house this week also.

Love your cookies and your tree!!! About the bread machines being better than years ago.... not much, but for me it saves me kneading the bread. I think I will be mixing and kneading it in the machine then take it out and bake in my wood cook-stove oven. Have a good day, Kathy... don't eat too many cookies :)

Oh that Peanut Butter Fudge calls my name. I could eat the 'whole thing'..... YUM....

Snowing like crazy here --and VERY cold. I love watching it snow --as long as I am IN HERE and not out there... ha

Have a great evening.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hey Steve, a gingerbread house is one thing I've never done. I've burned up a lot of mixers in my time making royal icing. Fortunately I got a kitchen aid several years ago. Sunny, there's no such thing as eating too many cookies!! :-)

Betsy, I wish you were here to share, my kiddos love peanut butter fudge!

Oh man, Cookies! My favorite part of Christmas. I take it the naked gingerbread men are unemployed? :D

I have to go make some more cookies :)

Hey Paula, me too. I hate not being there on Christmas day.

Do you remember the candy that grandmother used to make? I made some this year - the one with the nuts.
