I love my country friends and neighbors

I would much rather have something homemade than store bought, something with a story behind it.

My neighbor brought this over . . .

1 quart of homemade V8 juice, one pint of hot salsa, one pint of canned pears, and 2 jars of pear preserves

and

still warm chocolate cake with chocolate icing -- needless to say there's much less of this left today!

and my dear friend Kris could not have made the boys any happier than slab bacon!

There is nothing like being a country girl!

Hello and good to meet you! Thank you for visiting and commenting yesterday. I see a few of my friends are already here -- Dawn and Steve. Very good company.

Homemade gifts are so special -- it takes time and thought -- something many people are short on around the holidays. The cake looks delicious! :)

Such wonderful gifts, and I'm drooling over the bacon sizzling :)
What a kind and caring neighbor, and no amount of store bought compares to homemade.
Wishing you and yours all the blessings of a wonderful Christmas, and thank you for being my bloggy friend and neighbor !
Hugs,
Jo

You must be really loved by your neighbor, how nice is that! I checked out your tree.... that may have been where I saw the orange slices, lol. But didn't remember the cloves (?) in them?? My daughter also did some a couple years ago, along with dried apple slices cut so you could see the *star* in the middle. I love home-made anything!!
