Another Canning Day

Well, I canned another 5 quarts and 5 pints of dill pickles, 5 pints of jalapeno relish, 5 pints of dill relish, and 10 pints of spaghetti sauce.  I haven't uploaded the picture yet, so maybe another day.  I have more tomatoes that I will can tomorrow.  I haven't decided if I will make tomato juice or salsa.  The boys LOVE elbow noodles and homemade tomato juice.  I grew up eating spaghetti and homemade tomato juice that my grandmother made.

My summer classes are over.  My fall semester starts August 29th.  I'll be finished in December.  WOOHOO.  There is nowhere in this town that I can go to get a masters in psychology.  I will have to drive to continue my education.  It's a little over an hour and I just refuse to do that.  I am considering an online masters.  But I'm just not sure.  I don't have to make my mind up right this minute, so I'm still thinking about it.  Almost half of my credits thus far are online credits.

The boys go back to school in a little over a week.  I can't believe the summer is already gone.  It will be a big change for both boys.  Middle son will be heading to middle school.  A big change for him.  Youngest son will be "all alone" at elementary school.  Even though they didn't have classes together, they sometimes saw each other in the hall or in the lunch room.  And just knowing his big brother was there made youngest son feel better.

You put me to shame doing all that canning. I froze more veggies way back during the time of being a full-time mom and homemaker.
Awww...great news about being almost completed with your degree! You will figure out path to take to get your Masters.
Sweet photos of your sons. Your youngest will learn to be more independent this school year. Maybe this is a good thing.

Congrats on all that canning. I admire you for continuing your education even though it's tough!

I love stewed tomatoes and elbow macaroni -- yum! All of your canning efforts will be appreciated this winter.

Congrats on your continued interest in your education, Cathy. It has to be difficult with all that you do already.

My mom always put a little bacon in the elbow macoroni, it is a favorite with me also.
