I believe this is a House Finch. Correct me if I'm wrong.
This little flirt kept the male Cardinal busy. She would fly from the feeder to the tree and back again. The male Cardinal watched admiringly.
There were two finches playing. Their song and the way they played reminded me of watching small children play and laugh.

I'm really hoping to see the Rose Breasted Grosbeak again this year. I saw it two years ago. The bluejay made a brief visit, but not long enough for me to get a shot.
The boys just got home, so Mom time is over for now!

I love your bird pictures but I have no idea what you call most of them like you. That Hummingbird shot though is great.
Ditto on all your "if this rain would stop" scenarios. I can't even get close enough to pull weeds without a safety rope. :)

You are right about your first bird ID question...House Finch. Your second one with the blue tail is a female Eastern Bluebird!!!
Not sure about your mystery flower. Sure is pretty. Can you get a photo of the leaves?

Nothing wrong with birding, I spent all day searching for the arrival of Indigo Buntings and saw one pair.Guess they were early birds ahead of the flock.
I enjoyed seeing your birds. I wasn't sure about the id, either, but was wondering if the one was a female bluebird.
I hope you find out what the pretty white flower is.
Thanks for your comment on my post about the slope. After pricing retaining walls, and seeing how long it would take to install them, and after reading the suggestions, I decided to just use the fake bricks I was planning to use, and then got some plants in the bottom half.
