Have you ever just had one of those days?

I got up this morning did 3 loads of laundry, cleaned the kitchen and living room, and decided I needed to go to town.  Now, when I say "go to town", it's an event, not just a trip to town.

Both the kiddos needed a haircut and I needed a few groceries.  Since when did it cost $30 (total) for two kids haircuts?  At Walmart??

After my few piddly little bags of groceries, my wallet was $75 lighter.  Now I'm not blaming Walmart for the cost of groceries I'm just saying that's where we went.  Decided to go to the car wash and vacuum out the winter crud from the car and decided to throw away my walmart receipt.  Big mistake.

Got home, unloaded, sat down and realized I didn't remember bringing in the bag of two whole frozen chickens. The kids helped put the things away so I checked the fridge.  Nope.  Freezer?  Nope.  Truck of the car?  Nope.

Sigh.

Of course the customer behind me either didn't notice they got two free whole chickens or they chose to wallow in their good fortune and not turn them into customer service (I called to see if they'd been turned in and they hadn't been and because I couldn't produce my receipt, I'm out of luck).  That was enough for at least four dinners for us.  I hope the people that got the chickens truly needed them because that's the only thing that's keeping my anger in check.

Walmart is one of the most expensive places to buy fresh meat, unless you're doing a price match. I always check the turn table before I leave, because I have left so much stuff for the person behind me. I don't think anyone ever turns it in.

How frustrating and upsetting. I hope tomorrow is better - I hope you find a $50 bill on the ground or something nice like that!

Oh my...that has happened to me! I have since been using recycle bags and I never forget them.
It is amazing how the cost of food has increased.:(

Typically I do spin the turn table but the cashier was handing each bag to me. It is just disappointing that honest people can't be taken at their word.

Awww...that stinks. Unfortunately, I have a good share of those kind of days...but, you're right - it's the dishonesty of the person who took/kept something they know wasn't theirs that hurts the most. Hope the rest of your day goes better. Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

I would be bummed, too, if that happened to me. The cost of living is going up too fast.

We get groceries at the store our daughter is a floral designer at. The thing I don't like about it, is they have sackers. I prefer to sack my own groceries. Also, we don't always see where they put things. If sacks get left, they put the groceries back right away and don't give people a chance to figure it out. Last week, my husband had gotten yogurt and stuff, and they told him to go back and get it. Then, the sacker was honest and reminded Larry to get his ice cream he had also left, but not missed yet. Still, it's a pain.

I can't believe how the cost of food has gone up. I always look for meat with the red sticker, meaning the date goes out the next day. Meat is expensive wherever you buy it, I can't believe the cost of ground beef. I guess that's enough ranting about the cost of food, although I could go on and on. If the kids don't have a fancy hairstyle, maybe you could try cutting their hair. I used to do my kids when they were young, I still cut my husband's hair.
